Mary continues to compartmentalize her grief with Robert Sr. there to support her, while Bronwyn gets to know new friend Quai. Angie tells Mary about Quai's infamous toothbrush story, and Quai admits she is already nervous about Heather.
Before the women leave for San Francisco, Angie and Shawn struggle in their marriage, Meredith talks about her new DJ career, and she and Seth disagree about their children. At the airport, Britani embraces the St. Patrick's Day spirit a little too enthusiastically, while Lisa claims she has been invited to the Oscars but simply chooses not to go. The women are skeptical.
Once they arrive in San Francisco, Whitney, Angie, Heather and Bronwyn discuss Quai and her comments about the group. Whitney reports what she heard, including Quai's “diablo” comment about Heather, and the women take offense. Angie then brings up the toothbrush story again, prompting Whitney to panic because Quai had shared it with her privately.
During their St. Patrick's Day outing, Angie hands out green toothbrushes and finally reveals the story to the group. Quai owns what she did and explains why, but the conversation quickly turns into a confusing argument over who said what about whom. Quai eventually erupts and breaks down, while Whitney finds herself torn between her longtime friend and the rest of the women.
