S3E89 Sorry in Advance | RHOC Episode 12 Recap

The Real Housewives of Orange County head to Shannon's Hawaiian-themed luau, but the party quickly becomes the setting for another confrontation between Carmella and Vicki.

Carmella is still upset about everything that happened in La Quinta, and her frustration grows when Gina tells her that Vicki has been saying Danny is raising Carmella's children. Carmella feels that Vicki is once again questioning her parenting and warns Shannon that she is “sorry in advance” for the confrontation that's coming.

Meanwhile, Heather works on the design of her new home, Gina has second thoughts about the expense of a large wedding, and Tamra celebrates her granddaughter's birthday during a rare family gathering. Tamra and Ryan also appear to be in a much better place. Vicki helps Shannon with her finances, while the women naturally find time to ask about Shannon's love life.

At the luau, Vicki expects Emily and Jenn to apologize for leaving La Quinta, but neither woman feels they did anything wrong. Emily and Heather, however, are able to clear the air and repair their friendship.

Then Carmella confronts Vicki. Vicki initially denies saying that Danny is raising the kids, but Shannon confirms that she did. Carmella explains why the comments are especially hurtful after Vicki previously questioned her parenting and her home. When Vicki reminds Carmella that she's been a Housewife for 21 years, Carmella fires back that “everything has an expiration.”

But the confrontation takes an unexpected turn when Vicki opens up about her fear of abandonment and the hurt she felt after Mike left La Quinta. The women begin comforting her, leaving Carmella frustrated that Vicki has gone from being confronted to receiving sympathy.

The evening ends with an awkward couples' coconut game.
